Chris Dickens Committee Member |
|||||||||||||||||||||
I am
49, single and have lived in this area for all my life (apart from time
away at university); I have worked in the construction industry for the
past 30 years, mostly within local government highways departments. I currently
work for W S Atkins as a laboratory supervisor, engaged in the testing and
QA of most construction materials and soils. I have been involved in aeromodelling since I was a small boy, starting out with plastic 'Airfix' kits and progressing through free flight and control line to radio control in the early 70's. I have been a NVA member from its inception and a committee member, with a couple of short breaks, since 1977. This year, even though not elected, I have been co-opted by the chairman onto the NVA committee. I am also a member (and officer of one) of two other model clubs, and have many other hobbies and interests, including rugby union, motorsport (both as spectators only), making dolls houses, and gardening. |
