I am 58 years old, married with two children (and two grandchildren of 3 and 4). I first became interested in Aero Modelling when I was 14 with KEIL KRAFT kits - the ACE and AJAX etc. I then moved on to control line when I acquired my first engine.
In the mid 60s I became interested in radio control but only single channel was available then which was a bit hit and miss (most of the time it was a miss with radio malfunctioning) After discovering girls, I got married in 1971. I gave up flying for about 8 years and rejoined the newly formed Nene Valley Aeromodellers in 1979 where I was voted onto the committee. I held the post of treasure for 13 years leading up to this year and have retired from that post to take up the chairmanship.

I voluteer most weekends to teach newcomers using the Club Trainer aircraft and "Buddy box" system.
